Access to Achievement
The Access to Achievement Coordinator can assist prospective and current students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as they navigate their path at Guilford Technical Community College.
Access to Achievement was created to help with:
- Enrolling at Guilford Technical Community College
- Identifying the appropriate academic pathway (certificate, diploma, or degree)
- Communicating with instructors
- Referring to DisAbility Access Services for classroom accommodations
- Connecting with community resources
- Developing a person-centered plan
- Conducting check-ins with students
- Extending personal invitations to campus events, opportunities, and activities
- Advising
- Supporting employment through the Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities program
