Annually, GTCC helps 27,000-plus students gain educational experiences that transform lives. Many students need help to be able to access higher education and an improved future. For more than 65 years, the GTCC Foundation has provided scholarships and emergency assistance to deserving students.

In addition, the GTCC Foundation gives faculty extra resources that enhance the quality of instruction and expands campus boundaries through arts and community service programming. Your financial support of the Foundation creates a learning environment that enriches lives and prepares the workforce of the future.

In just the last 10 years, we have provided more than $7.8 million in support services to enhance student access and success. The annual economic impact GTCC makes to our region is estimated to be more than $528 million, and that makes an investment in GTCC not only worthwhile, but necessary.

OUR MISSION

The GTCC Foundation supports efforts to ensure educational excellence through fundraising, advocacy, and promoting awareness of GTCC’s positive impact on the community.

OUR VISION

The GTCC Foundation will be a leader among community college foundations, universally recognized as an innovative and major force in support of development and advancement; students, faculty, and staff; and programs required to deliver educational excellence.

OUR HISTORY

The GTCC Foundation was established in 1966 by the Guilford Technical Community College Board of Trustees to facilitate fundraising and promote awareness of the college. The growth and success of the Foundation over the last half century is perhaps one of the college’s most remarkable stories.

Board of Directors

Today, the GTCC Foundation oversees more than 200 gift funds that provide critical financial support each year for scholarships, equipment, athletics, professional development, student travel, and more.

The foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of representatives from the college’s board of trustees and people from the community. The work of the board is accomplished through a number of standing and special committees.
