Career Fair

Each spring semester, GTCC hosts a Career Fair for students, employers, and the local community. If you are interested in registering for a table to recruit at the event, send an email to careerservices@gtcc.edu.

College Central Network

College Central Network (CCN) is GTCC's FREE, online job board. Once jobs are posted to the job board, students and alumni are able to access the information and receive job alerts targeted toward their area of study.

First-time users: Set up your College Central Network account.

  1. Access the College Central Network website.
  2. Click Create Account.
  3. Complete the Employer Registration form and click Register.
    • Your account will be in pending status and you will be unable to view/request events until after a staff member has approved it.
    • Please allow up to three business days for approval.
    • Once you are approved to post jobs, you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

Unapproved solicitations will not be permitted.

Employer services access: If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the following services:

  • Job Posting
Post jobs targeted to Guilford Technical Community College students and alumni as well as community residents.
  • Resume Search
Search resumes of our students, alumni, and community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.
  • Portfolio Search
Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, and community residents.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status, and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us at careerservices@gtcc.edu before posting your job.

Posting a job opening after you register:

  1. Sign in on our Employer page.
  2. Enter your User ID and Password.
  3. Under the Job Board section, click Post, Edit, Repost or Expire Job Postings.
  4. Click the Post a New Job
  5. Complete the Job Posting Form. Be sure to complete all required fields, select majors and job targets, and do a complete job description.
  6. Click the Save Job Posting
You will receive confirmation that your job posting has been saved. You will then be asked if you would like to post another job, return to the list of jobs that you posted, or return to your account page.

Employers seeking to share job, internship, and co-op opportunities through CCN must be approved in order to gain access to post. GTCC reserves the ability to edit, delete, or refuse any employer partner account or position posting.

Opportunities with the following characteristics will not be posted:

  • Require a student to make a financial investment or pay a fee prior to starting employment (job, internship, or co-op) unless the company is a member in good standing of the Direct Selling Association (DSA)
  • Provide students with a financial incentive for recruiting other students
  • Located in an employer’s private residence

Other considerations before posting an opportunity include but are not limited to:

  • Questionable or dubious job duties
  • Misrepresentation or absence of information in the submitted posting including company name, address, contact information, and type of employment opportunity
  • Non-organization specific email address as a contact (e.g @yahoo or @gmail)
  • Requiring, at the time of application, personal information such as bank and social security numbers
  • Complaints by students, graduates, staff, or community members
  • Employer is out of area but job duties are local
  • Position which suggests or infers candidate must act as an agent of GTCC in a position to promote a product/service
