New Student Online Orientation

New Student Online Orientation is required for all students online including those who:

• Are attending college for the first time
• Are attending GTCC for the first time but have previous college experience
• Are former GTCC students returning after time away
• Have completed an associate degree or higher
• Are enrolled at GTCC as Special Credit students (taking courses without pursuing a program at GTCC)

In-Person New Student Orientation

In-Person New Student Orientation is optional but strongly encouraged because of these benefits:

• Start with clarity, not confusion - You’ll understand your schedule, campus layout, and what to expect on day one.
• Real connections - Meet classmates and staff so you’re not walking in alone on day 1.
• Access to resources you might miss otherwise - Tutoring, career services, clubs, and support programs are easier to discover in person.
• Feel more confident and prepared - Walking the campus and knowing where your classes are removes first-day anxiety.
