GTCC Student Ambassadors

2022-2023 Academic Year

The GTCC Foundation is proud to provide annual program support for student ambassadors. The GTCC Student Ambassador Program gives GTCC students the opportunity to serve as representatives at institutional functions as well as recruitment, student, civic and cultural activities. It also serves as a leadership program for student ambassadors to develop personal, organizational and institutional leadership skills.

"Initially, I chose it because of GTCC's Career and College Promise program, and remained because of GTCC's affordability, diverse programs, and engaging faculty. Meeting and speaking with Secretary Miguel Cardona was a lifetime experience. Sharing my experiences on and off camera has given me confidence in my communication skills. Every minute at GTCC has cumulated into who I am today and will continue to equip me for greater opportunities!"

"I chose GTCC because I was given a second chance to go back to school to finish what I had started, and there was no better place to begin that journey again other than GTCC. The school welcomed me in a way that I knew this was it. GTCC has given me the opportunity to see beyond the horizon, as well as to be hungry for success."

"My Uncle completed the program before I did and suggested that I enroll and try it out since I loved working with the public. The school – since my first day – I feel has grown and changed so much in the past few years, for the better. GTCC has helped me to be able to grow as a leader and develop skills through my program to help me professionally."

"I decided to attend GTCC because, as a first-generation student, I wanted to ease my college process by starting at GTCC. GTCC is also affordable and a grand palace to transfer to a four-year university. Getting involved in Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa has helped me learn about professionalism, leadership, and connection. Personally, I learned more about what I like and dislike by taking diverse classes."

"GTCC became my choice for school because I thrive on two values: having close relationships in addition to emphasizing student success. The college offers smaller classrooms compared to huge lecture halls, which allow me to have the opportunity to build relationships with other students and professors without having to worry about not fitting in. GTCC is also just more than a school. It offers a well-rounded education that allows for students like me to engage with the community."

"I love GTCC because of its variety of programs and its mission to help the community through education. GTCC has impacted my life by opening so many opportunities that I otherwise would not have been able to participate in. I have also met so many stellar and driven people here that have been super inspiring to me."

"I choose GTCC to be a part of community college that reflects the diversity on campus and in co-curriculars. Additionally, I like the teaching method of professors as the class strength is smaller than a four-year university. GTCC has a positive impact on my life. Personally, the events and activities made me embrace new cultures as now I am president of ISA (International Student Association). The club has students from different regions of the world. Professionally, as a Student Ambassador, I am learning how to work in real-life scenarios."

"GTCC has helped me by getting one step closer to my career goals and becoming a part of the community. GTCC has led me to the great opportunity of becoming an ambassador. GTCC has impacted my life by helping me to gain confidence in my academic learning and to become the best person I can be. I am very proud to say that I am Titan!"

"GTCC had a program that is focused on music entertainment and music business. GTCC has an actual studio on campus with instructors who have real world experience in the industry, all of whom are still involved in the industry. GTCC has given me a fresh start. ... Ever since my first semester at GTCC, I’ve been in an environment that provides the positive support that I need along with the proper resources and guidance."

"I don’t have a lot of money, so this was one of the best schools in terms of affordability. I also researched the best schools for game design in North Carolina and GTCC was one of ones at the top, so there really was no contest as to where I'd go. GTCC has helped prepare me for working and life as an adult, giving me plenty of professional experiences in dealing with people as a student ambassador and learning how to make proper games like I’ve always wanted to. Being put in professional settings so often has helped me to become a more professional person in general."
