Mandatory Online Success Seminar

Every GTCC student interested in registering for one or more online courses MUST complete the Online Success Seminar. This is mandatory. The seminar is free and is located in Moodle.

Accessing the Online Success Seminar is easy:

  1. Log into Moodle
  2. Scroll to the "My Courses" section in the center of the page.
  3. Select “Online Success Seminar” and begin your session

NOTE: A final score of 100% is required to register for online classes.

Seminar Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Online Student Success Strategies
  • Online Program and Course Technical Requirements
  • Online Student Resources Available
  • Online Student Academic Integrity Requirements

After obtaining the required 100% score, there may be a waiting period of up to 30 minutes before your student account is updated. After your record has been updated, you are welcome to register for your online course; however GTCC students are highly encouraged to work with an Academic Advisor (not required for visiting students) in order to "MAP" out a program course completion plan once the online seminar is completed.

Restricted online courses require eDegree priority registration privileges and if you are not an eDegree student you must complete the Application Process to register for these courses.

You can log back into the seminar and at the top of the Moodle page click the link “Check my Grade” or click the “Grade book” link from the left side menu.

Yes, the online success seminar is required for all students interested in taking any online course beginning Summer 2017.
