In an op-ed published by The EDU Ledger, GTCC President Dr. Anthony J. Clarke and Guilford County Schools Superintendent Dr. Whitney Oakley explain how the Guilford Guarantee is creating a more connected path from education to employment. The initiative is designed to ensure every student graduates with a clear plan and meaningful progress toward college or a high-demand career through access to college credits, industry-recognized credentials and workplace learning experiences.

Clarke and Oakley describe how GCS and GTCC are working as a unified PK–14 talent system to remove barriers such as transportation, cost and complicated enrollment processes. By aligning education and workforce pathways with growing Triad industries, the partnership is helping students move more confidently from the classroom into college, apprenticeships and careers.
