GTCC adapting as aviation, battery manufacturers take root in Triad

GTCC is looking at area manufacturing businesses to figure out what curriculum to provide for students.

With big manufacturers coming to the area, GTCC has an opportunity to adjust its curriculum to give students a leg up.

Guilford Technical Community College is working closely with Toyota, Boom Supersonic, and other industry leaders to figure out how to produce work-ready graduates. “We want Guilford County residents to have opportunities to stay here, work here, live here, contribute to the economy,” said Beth Pitonzo, GTCC’s senior vice president of instruction.
